Finishing strong, welcoming change, and stepping into Semester 2 with energy and possibility

Semester wrap-up time is around the corner, and it’s a moment to stay focused and finish strong. Every learning task completed is a step toward growth, confidence, and pride in what you’ve accomplished. As we close out this semester, let’s bring energy, care, and commitment to the final stretch.
I find that there’s always a real sense of excitement for Semester 2. Change can feel big, but it’s often exactly what we need. New classes, new faces, and new ideas bring fresh energy into our learning community.
Media Lab is one place where that change is especially felt. A big thank you to all the designers and reporters who told the story of GISS through student voice this semester. You captured moments, people, and ideas that matter. As one group finishes and a new group steps in for Semester 2, the story continues. The possibilities are wide open, full of wonder and creativity.
It’s like closing one door and opening another. Each ending makes space for a beginning. Let’s move forward with positivity, curiosity, and confidence in what comes next.
