Badminton Team

We are excited to share positive progress on the possible start of a Badminton Team at GISS. Over the past few weeks, we have been working toward making the desire for a badminton team a reality. We recently approached Mr. Mason with the idea of coaching the team. At this meeting, he challenged us to a game of singles or doubles, where if he said that if we won, he would coach the team. Our next step is to gather interest from students through posters that will be placed around the school, which will include a sign-up sheet where you can write your name if you are interested in joining the team. If the Badminton Team is something you are interested in, we encourage you to share this with us to help make it happen, as we require your voice to be heard. Students of all grades and genders are welcome. The Badminton Team will give you opportunities for inter-school competitions and to strengthen your athletic abilities. We are considering after-school practices once a week and hoping to get matches with nearby schools. Tony Mason is looking for dedication, coachability, and a positive, encouraging attitude that we can build and create a welcoming, fun, and competitive environment out of. This is something that will positively impact you and the school, and we hope to see your enthusiasm for this opportunity.
