Interviewing: Ivy Miller

Art can be a powerful way to express ideas, emotions, and stories. One student artist who brings this to life is Ivy Miller, whose creativity and dedication have made their work stand out at school. Her work continues to grow in confidence and creativity, leaving a lasting impression on those who see it. 



Q: When did you first become interested in art? 

A: “I can't remember a specific time but I just kind of grew up with it because both my parents were and still are artists.” 

Q: What Type of art do you enjoy making the most? 

A: “I like sketching the most and I like drawing main characters; I also like colouring.” 

Q: Where do you get inspiration for your artwork? 

A:”I get a lot of it from people I follow online, as well as other students.” 

Q: How would you describe your artistic style? 

A: “I really like vibrant colors; my dream style is like street art, and exaggerated and expressive art.” 

Q: How long does it usually take you to finish a piece? 

A: "It depends if I'm coloring it in, if so, it takes me about three hours, but if I'm sketching then it takes me about an hour.” 

Q: What is your Favorite piece you have created so far? Why? 

A: “I did a paining piece in art class last semester, and it was the first painting I've done that I've ever really liked it because I don't paint much. It was a project about Canadian artists.” 

Their artwork often reflects their personality and interests, using different colors, styles, and techniques to bring ideas to life. Whether working on detailed pieces or simple sketches, they focus on expressing emotion and meaning through their art. Each piece shows growth, creativity, and strong attention to detail.
