Who is using Gen Alpha slang more, millennials or Gen Alpha?

Submitted by a GISS Student

Overall, I have seen a small uptick in the number of adults attempting to use slang that they really shouldn't use. For example, at what point did it become okay for adults to dress as a 6, 7 for Halloween? Adults seem to try and use words that were not made up by their generation. And trust me, they were not made up in their generation for a reason. When I spoke to student Morgan Williams, she said, “I think that the older generation is like trying to use it but incorrectly or just like in a bad context.” Thank you, Morgan. I also spoke to Mr. Massey; who said he thought that adults use Gen Alpha slang less than kids, but when they do, then context is usually off...awkward.

I don't find a need to watch my parents and the adults I care about flat-out embarrass themselves, yet they seem to want to do it more even when they are told to stop. Parents have some control of their kids, but where is the kid’s control of their parents? It’s a give and a take. Also, why are teenagers being flat out mocked for something that we barely even invented?

In conclusion, PLEASE STOP. The only group of peers where using this slang is mildly okay in terms of use is 4th GRADERS. Everyone else, please stop. Kindly, an anonymous do-gooder for the sake of everyone who is suffering
