Letter to The Editor: The Rain is Back!

Over the past few days students may have noticed how rainy the outside world tends to be. We have reached a point in fall (seeing as we live in a temperate rainforest) where instead of crunchy leaves, we have wet boots. Some people would say that they hate living in a place that stays too wet and unseasonably muggy outside. As the first clouds peek through, everyone knows fall is near to set in. September always seems like fall even when fall doesn't start till the end of September. “Atmospheric River Will Deliver a Month's Worth of Rain in Just Three Days” —The Weather Network. Some years it is predicted that BC will have 20 “atmospheric rivers” in a year. Some people who live in different countries will never see rain.      I am lucky that I get to see rain regularly. Some people always say that fall is “sad” and “cold,” but the chill in the air is the atmosphere resetting, preparing for the chill of the holidays. Of all things, remember the fact we get rain so often, and it is not always as unpleasant as people make it sound.
